How to launch your online course using video

As you've probably guessed I'm a big fan of video. I work with solopreneurs and coaches around the round world to not only create awesome online video courses but also use video in marketing them.

Want to know the best ways to launch your course?

I’ve found video is the most effective way so I’m going to explain 3 ways you can do this.

1. Webinar

This is a live presentation giving immense value on something your audience is struggling with or a goal they want to achieve, and creating demand for your product all in one video. It’s the easiest to set up and implement.

All you need is slide software, you can use Canva which is free. Then you need to be able to share the presentation and you can use free platforms like OBS and YouTube or a paid system like Zoom.

And if you're scared about appearing on camera, the good news is you don’t have to with this type of video.

2. Video Series

This is a series of videos focusing on a struggle or goal your audience has and in each video get them results in a certain step of the process.

There is a lot of upfront set up with this type of video launch. It needs to be well scripted with the RIGHT MESSAGE at the RIGHT TIME in their journey, and polished - so good light, audio, editing the whole shebang.

However, it does mean that once it’s created it can be what’s known as evergreen and used to promote and sell your course 24/7.

3. Facebook Live

This is usually used through a 3, 5 or 7 day challenge and it’s about creating a 1-1 conversation with your audience to connect with them and teach them LIVE. So you can think of it as a structured conversation over a series of days that creates trust in you and demand for your course.

There's a lot of moving parts with this kind of launch but is really effective in reaching and converting a cold audience (people who don't know you, haven't warmed up to you yet).

The LIVE video can be done with just a phone or you can take it to the next level and include text, slides, prerecorded videos using a third party software like StreamYard or Ecamm Live (or there are many others out there).

But if you want to know more about creating videos to either promote or for inside your online course I’ll be opening the doors on my Easy Video Course Creation program soon (which will start with a free training to create and launch your course) so click the link to join the waitlist and be the first to know.
